LIBERATORY COACHING
To transform global oppression we must transform ourselves. Our approach to coaching is rooted in the liberatory praxis and cosmologies of our ancestors that locate the individual as part of an interdependent collective whole. We address the transgenerational harm of heteropatriarchal-white-supremacist-capitalism we are all steeped in by decolonizing the way we live, work, and organize.
We use the Spiral of Transformation to align with nature-based systems that offer coaching that is iterative and fractal to include cycles of:
1) healing, (un)learning, deconstructing
2) aligning, creating, Freedom dreaming
3) stabilizing, integrating, sustaining
Coaching sessions focus on shedding oppressive practices and embodying liberatory ways of being through a combination of somatic practices, ancestral ritual, storytelling, writing, art activities, communing with nature, freedom singing, and contemplative praxis.

F R E E D O M L A N D brings the sacred back into the way we work, approaching strategic planning as a ritual process of decolonization that centers the cultural epistemologies, healing technologies, and embodied wisdom of our ancestors. We see the moment when an organization is ready to embark on a strategic planning process as the beginning of a rites-of-passage journey.
We steward organizations through the threshold experience of shedding oppressive structures and practices, visioning a new more liberatory way forward, and creating the systems of accountable call-and-response to sustain it.
Our approach looks at an organization as a collective body, and the work of strategic planning is a process of supporting that (collective) body to clarify and realign with Center; embody vision, values, and mission from Center; and create structures and strategies that sustain this collective practice to generate liberatory impact in the world.
